Thieves’ car blunder

BUNGLING thieves stole a compounded car deemed unsafe to drive.

The theft, which happened sometime between 7pm on Friday September 14 and 8am the following day, also saw seven sets of alloy wheels taken from the car dealership on Bradford Road.

The suspects damaged the cars as they removed the brand new alloy wheels and stole a black Vauxhall Corsa VXR Turbo which had a serious mechanical fault.

The car, which had the registration SD08YGK, could shudder violently and cause injury to the driver if driven, police said.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the thefts. Anyone with any information is asked to call Det Con 3580 Michael Parris at Dewsbury CID or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
