THREE people have been arrested on suspicion of murder as part of an investigation into the death of a 21-month-girl.

Summer Mai Rogers-Ratclifffe, of Nook Green, Dewsbury, died on February 28 this year.

She had been admitted to Dewsbury and District Hospital the previous day and then transferred to Leeds General Infirmary where she died.

Police today confirmed that a 33-year-old man and two women, aged 26 and 56, had been arrested.

The trio, all from the Dewsbury area, have been bailed pending further enquiries.

An inquest into Summer’s death was opened in May to allow the release of her body for burial.

A police spokeswoman said enquiries suggested Summer had died as the result of head injuries.
