Troubled school’s plan is ‘not fit for purpose’

An executive headteacher has been drafted into a Dewsbury primary after it received another black mark from Ofsted.

Chickenley Community, Infant and Nursery School was placed in special measures after inspectors highlighted “weaknesses in the quality of teaching” and pupil underachievement in November last year.

Now a follow-up inspection has found that the school’s plan for turning things around is “not fit for purpose”.
