Playgroup’s new start for 2015
The nursery, formerly known as Upper Hopton Playgroup was deemed inadequate in an Ofsted report last August.
But chairwoman Jill Woodward has said that positive changes have already been made – and that this was something that has been recognised by the inspectors themselves.

“We have worked very hard to increase the learning and educational opportunities for all children in our care. “
Inspectors visited in November last year and upped the playgroup’s rating from four (inadequate) to three (requires improvement).
The latest report said that children’s emotional wellbeing was being looked after at the school, but stressed the need for more rigorous assessments of the children’s abilities.

As well as the name change, the playgroup wants to get more involved with the community, and has arranged a fundraising Ladies Night tomorrow evening in Croft House at 7.30pm.
