Police are seeking information after reports that a gun was fired from a vehicle in Dewsbury on Saturday night.

Officers were called to Selbourne Avenue, Savile Town at about 8pm on November 5, following a report that a firearm had been discharged from the window of a vehicle, which then made off.

Damage was found on a house and officers continue to conduct ‘specialist’ enquiries.

Armed officers were at the scene on Sunday, while the area was taped off.

No-one was injured in the incident, which remains under investigation.

Three people were initially arrested but later released without charge.

Anyone who has information about the incident or who saw a red car behaving suspiciously in the area about half an hour before the discharge is asked to contact the homicide and major enquiry team on 101.

Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
