Two held over baby death

A young woman and man have been arrested following the death of a four-month-old baby girl.

Police were called to an address on Foldings Avenue, Scholes, today, to reports of concern for safety for a baby.

The baby was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 19-year-old woman and 21-year-old man were arrested and are in custody.

Enquiries are ongoing.
