Eden Charity match

A CHARITY football match, originally planned forJanuary 2 was played at Liversedge on Tuesday.
A good crowd turned out to see an Eden Shaw XI take on a Liversedge select XI. The event raised a magnificent £508 for Eden’s charity. Dewsbury schoolgirl Eden died in May after a battle against a rare form of cancer.

Liversedge played a near full team and won 3-0. But Eden’s XI showed up well.

Good performances came from from Lee Blakeley (West End) John Stott (Staincliffe) and Colin Jenkins (Batley Nash).

The organisers thank Liversedge, match sponsor John Atkinson, cup sponsor Batley Irish Nash and Yvonne Ford.
