BIRSTALL Victoria prop Danny Porter has been named in the Yorkshire county train-on squad to prepare for the game against South Africa Rhinos at Dewsbury on Sunday, October 12.
Porter had an outstanding season last term and joins a number of local players in the squad.
Also included are another Yorkshire League player, Simon Lindsay, from Ossett Trinity, while Conference players named are Paul Brown, Lee Cartwright, Matty Myers and Danny Smith, of Shaw Cross Sharks, along with James Craven and Scott Green from Thornhill Trojans.
The county squad hold their first training session at Shaw Cross on Sunday (10.30am).
