SHAW Cross Sharks held their annual presentations on Saturday night with chairman Mick Turner hosting proceedings.
First team awards went to Steve Shaw (most improved), Alex Whittaker (clubman of the year), Ash Fothergill (special award on his retirement from playing), John Rourke (players' player) and Paul Brown (player of the year) while a special service award went to Les Heaps.
In the A team awards, Scott Howard was clubman of the year, Luke Mitchell most improved, Mark Heaps the players' Player and Chris Renton the player of the year.
BARLA Great Britain shirts were presented to club chairman Chris Smith and secretary Douglas Hird from the Skanska Cup by Matty Myers, John Rourke, Richard Squires and Patrick Walker with Danny Smith, Matty Myers and Mick Turner presenting a BARLA South Africa tour shirt.
Mick Turner thanked all the coaching staff – Danny Bolton, Kevin Tebb and Steve Jones – for their hard work and all the volunteer and commitee members who worked so hard throughout the season.
