Liversedge ended a five-match winless run with an impressive 5-1 win away to Retford United last Saturday.

Victory ensured Sedge enter December lying seventh in the Northern Counities East league Premier Division after a dominant display in Nottinghamshire.

Gibril Bojang forced an early save out of the Retford goalkeeper and only desperate defending prevented Sedge from taking the lead.

The breakthrough finally came when a pin-point Crody Cromack corner was powerfully headed home by Joe Walton.

Cromack was denied by another excellent save before Liversedge doubled their lead when Brandon Kane produced a superb 70 yard run and smashed a low drive into bottom corner to make it 2-0 at half-time.

Jack Walters pulled a goal back on the hour but Liversedge struck again when Walton reacted to another good save by the goalkeeper to smash home the rebound for his 17th goal of the season.

Bojang was rewarded for an impressive display when he put a defender under pressure and produced a cool finish for his first goal since returning to the club.

Harrison Blakey almost added a fifth but his fierce drive hit the base of a post with the goalkeeper beaten.

Tom Smith managed to kill the game off, heading home at the back post to complete a satisfying away display as Liversedge claimed their 12th win of the season.
