The two high fliers could not be separated for much of the game until things sprung to life in a frantic finale.

Joe Jagger missed a glorious chance to get Littletown back into the game when he had a penalty saved but made amends soon after volleying home a cross to make it 2-1.

With virtually the last kick of the game, Jagger fired the equaliser which earned a point.

Littletown have been replaced at the top by Huddersfield YMCA, who beat Golcar 2-0, with Salts second following a 9-2 victory over Honley.

Littletown are third, two points behind the joint leaders, but with two games in hand.

Overthorpe Sports had two players sent off and a further three shown yellow cards as they suffered a 6-1 defeat away to Lepton Highlanders.

Lewis Ward struck Overthorpe’s consolation goal but they slip to second bottom.

Lower Hopton earned their first win of the season when they fought back from 2-1 down to beat Steeton 3-2.

Hunsworth bowed out of the Division One Cup, losing 4-2 at Golcar United Reserves.

Goals from James Brampton and Charlie Taylor saw Hunsworth lead 2-1 at half-time but they had two players sent off and the nine men were unable to hold out as Golcar turned round the deficit.

Littletown Reserves edged out Thornton United 6-4 in Division Two as Kieran Senior bagged a hat-trick, Adam Forber struck a brace, while Admilo De Castro completed the scoring.

Lower Hopton Reserves suffered a 6-2 defeat at home to Salts Reserves in Division Two as Wayne Walsh led the way with four goals.

Howden Clough remain mid-table in West Yorkshire League Division One after securing a fifth win of the season last Saturday.

Clough edged out Aberford Albion 4-3 thanks to a brace from Scott Lightowler and further goals by Nathan Hallas and Patrick Sykes.

Hartshead and Wyke Wanderers both secured away draws.

Hartshead had Joel Farrar and Stuart Kiltie on target in a 2-2 draw at Leeds Modernians, while Wyke Wanderers drew 3-3 at Old Centralians with Karl Fawcett (two) and Matt Conway their goal scorers.

Thornhill slipped to an eighth successive defeat, losing 11-1 at Featherstone Colliery.

Crackenedge and Crown Gawthorpe are flying high in the Wakefield League Premier Division.

Crackenedge are second, two points behind Beechwood Gate, following an entertaining 7-5 victory over Healdfield last Saturday.

Crown overcame Ossett Common Rovers 8-2 and are third.

Old Bank WMC lost 9-0 to Rock Inn in Division One, while Division Two leaders Fox and Hounds suffered a first defeat of the season, going down 5-2 at Wakefield City.
