Bentley replied with a Nick Pownall try, which Ryan Glaswell converted but the Boys edged back in front with a Gav Davies try.

Scott Smith dived over and Glaswell converted as Bentley led 12-8 at half-time but a spectacular length of the field try by Aaron James saw the Boys level and Bingham converted to edge them ahead.

Johnny Smith replied with a 55th minute try for Bentley as the lead changed hands once more and Glaswell grabbed a crucial try between the posts, which he converted, before adding a penalty goal to stretch the lead to 10 points.

Dean Colton crossed wide out and Glaswell added a terrific goal to kick-start Bentley celebrations.

Batley had the last word as Bingham scored a late try which he converted but it proved a mere consolation.
