Batley Bulldogs seal cup win over London Skolars

Batley Bulldogs made it two wins from two in this year’s Northern Rail Cup after Sunday’s 50-16 win at home against London Skolars.

Batley led 40-0 at the break thanks to tries from Danny Maun (two), Gareth Potts, Paul Mennell, Ian Preece, Kris Lythe and Ben Black.

Gareth Moore added five goals and Mennell one.

Moore and Danny Mills crossed for tries after the break with Moore adding a goal.

The Skolars replied with second-half tries from Ade Adebisi, Ben Bolger and Martyn Smith. Dylan Skee and Andy McLean kicked the conversions.
