Beverley treble helps Jardy's to emphatic victory

JARDY'S handed out a 10-0 thumping to FC Bosnia last Saturday as they moved to within four points of Spen Valley League Premier Division leaders Bradford

Bosnia managed to raise a team for the game but continue to struggle for players and proved no match for a Jardy’s side who have extended their 100 per cent start to the league campaign to four matches.

Bosnia’s plight wasn’t helped when they had a man sent off for a second yellow card.

John Beverley led Jardy’s with a hat-trick, while Lee Carter and James Wightman netted a brace apiece.

Black Horse and Bradford tried valiantly to get the game on, moving their fixture to Crawshaw Street after the referee deemed the original pitch unfit.

However, with the sides locked at 1-1 and no official referee in charge, the match was abandoned after 50 minutes when there were disputes over decisions.

Howden Clough picked up their first point of the season after an entertaining 3-3 draw at Savile Town.

Clough came from 2-0 down to lead 3-2 thanks to goals from Luke Adams and Joe Armitage (two) but they were denied victory as Savile Town equalised late on with Bham, Adams and Hazi on target.

Youth 2000 (A Nana and Y Rajah) beat George Healey (Howard) 2-1. Youth stay fifth and George seventh.

Division One leaders Sporting Armley beat fourth placed Norfolk to maintain a two-point lead over second placed Quarry.

Andi Bellhouse and Danny Goulden (two) were the Armley scorers, while Imran Farooq replied.

Quarry kept up the pressure by beating White Rose 2-1 with goals from Rafal Saudak and Luke Newsome. White Rose replied through Sam Pickles.

Inter Batley moved up to third after defeating Marsh 4-2.

Mohammed Navsarka, Arshad Navsarka and Ramzan Mazher (two) put Batley 4-0 up at half-time. Marsh’s consolations came from James Singleton and Tom Nixon.

Wellington lost again, 1-0 away at Fairbank. Imran Hafeez got the only goal to leave Wellington second-bottom, two points above Black Bull having played two games more.
