Boys U12s defeat Celtic

Batley Boys Under-12s beat Dewsbury Celtic 38-14 in a pre-season friendly.

Celtic led early before a quick-fire double from spectators MoM Kyle Foley saw Batley ahead. Kyle Render, Paul Scott and MoM Jarrad Kirk were superb while Jack Broadbent and Josh Scrutton scored to see Batley 18-4 up.

After the break Liam Rush and James Smith called the shots with debutant Charlie Dransfield impressing. Charlie Sandell increased the lead before Foley scored twice to complete his hat-trick.

Captain Luke Slack shone, Owen West was top tackler on debut, while Harry Brearey, Joe Hyland, Brad McCann, Dylan Hodgson, Josh Ward and Harry Foster did well. Sandell scored his second, in between Celtic scores but Batley stood firm.
