FIVE players have been told they can go and six have been transfer listed as Neil Warnock has started his big clear-out at Leeds United.

Five players coming to the end of their contracts, meanwhile, have been released – centre-back Alex Bruce, winger Lloyd Sam, strikers Danny Webber and Mikael Forssell and goalkeeper Maik Taylor, who has already signed for Millwall.

Warnock met with all his playing staff individually to inform them of his decisions with those about to leave following Ben Parker and Mika Vayrynen, who had their contracts cancelled last month. Loan men Darren O'Dea and Paul Robinson were also sent back to their clubs.

More players could follow out of the door with decisions waited on new contracts they have been offered.

United have offered deals to Aidan White and Robert Snodgrass, while Warnock wants to sit down with Ross McCormack’s representatives to discuss a new deal and he will offer improved terms to youngsters Tom Lees and Zac Thompson.

Experienced midfielder Michael Brown is mulling over an offer of a reduced terms one-year contract.
