IMRAN Dawood fired a century as Bradford League Division Two champions Hanging Heaton cruised to a 115-run success at Morley last Saturday.
Dawood fired 103 at a run a ball as Heaton powered to 299-7. He hit 10 fours and six sixes before being caught by Jack Seddon, who took over as wicketkeeper from Michael Cooper in the sixth over, off Matthew Dowse (1-56).
Dawood shared a second-wicket stand of 144 with Haroon Rashid (59) while James Stansfield (39) and Nick Bresnan (68 from 47 deliveries, with two fours and six sixes) added to Morley's woes.
Nathan Bromby ended with 3-100 while Jimmy (Russell (2-70) and David Nebard (1-59) also struck.
Morley's reply slumped to 43-5 before Adam Larkin and Nebard launched a fightback. The pair put on 123 for the sixth wicket before Nebard (29) was caught by Alan Mynett, one of six victims for the wicketkeeper, off Mark Lawson (1-56).
Larkin was also out with the total on 166, caught by Mynett off John Carruthers (5-41), after a fine innings of 90 from 106 balls including 12 fours and two sixes.
Morley eventually closed on 184-9 as Bromby (10no) stood firm but Nick Summerscales took 1-32 and Bresnan 1-3 as Heaton chalked up their 18th league win of the campaign.
The race for the second promotion place will go to the final day with three teams separated by just three points ahead of Saturday's last round of games.
Lightcliffe are on 272 points but were bowled out for just 65 by fourth-placed Bowling Old Lane, who won by 65 runs to move onto 269 points.
Manningham Mills are also on 272 points but climbed to second place, by virtue of 14 wins compared to Lightcliffe's 13, after their 111-run success at Hartshead Moor.
Mohammed Altaf made 32 and Iqbal Khan 67 as Mills were dismissed for 176 by Jamie Priestley (4-31), Joel Pollard (2-47), Craig Woodhead (2-38) and Tom Manvell (2-32).
Iqbal Khan then ripped through the Hartshead order as they were shot out for 65 in 28 overs. Woodhead top scored with 13 as Khan claimed 7-40 and Zeeshan Qasim 2-10 in 11 overs with five maidens.
Hartshead are now stand sixth, one place and nine points ahead of Spen Victoria who had no game last weekend.
Saturday's games see Manningham Mills host fifth-placed Keighley, Bowling Old Lane visit Hanging Heaton, Lightcliffe at third-bottom Brighouse, Spen Victoria travelling to Windhill and second-bottom Idle hosting Hartshead Moor.
