HANGING Heaton closed the gap on leaders Baildon to five points as both recorded victories in Bradford League Seconds Division One.

Baildon won by 43 runs at home to Morley and took 18 points while second-placed Heaton claimed the maximum 20 points after a 182-run win over last year's champions Pudsey St Lawrence.

Howard Ellis (60) and Michael Royce (77) shared an opening partnership of 127, David Lawrence hit 51 and James Byrne 49 not out as the home side cruised to 267-7.

Bradford & Bingley are now 45 points behind Heaton in third place after a 131-run win over East Bierley, whose relegation is confirmed.

Pudsey Congs will join Bierley in Division Two after a five-wicket home defeat by Yeadon.

Woodlands slipped to seventh place after losing by 11 runs at home to Farsley.

Teenage off spinner Chris Walker shone with 5-27 from 15 overs with five maidens as the visitors were bowled out for 164.
