Kashif shines as PKWA close in on Section A title
THERE were some impressive performances in Section A of the Dewsbury District League last Sunday.
Leaders PKWA had Kashif top scoring with 63, supported by Ishtiaq 49 on their way to 217-5 in a 133 run victory over Com Del.
Top score of the day was made by Hassan Patel, who followed a 136 run innings for Mount on Saturday, with 104 for Warwick against Dewsbury Young Star. Patel also claimed two wickets as his side earned a five wicket win,
Dewsbury Young Star (37 points) are one of three teams at the foot of the table who are in danger of joining already relegated Dewsbury (18 points). A point below them are Azad and a further point back are Dewsbury Westside which makes for an interesting final two matches of the season.
