Patel fires ton but leaders Mount fall

LEADERS Mount A suffered a defeat against Hepworth & Idle in Section A of the Dales Council League last Saturday.

Batting first, Hepworth & Idle were bowled out for 181 with Hasan Jee Patel taking 4-48.

Mount's reply got off to an awful start when seven wickets fell for just 29 runs before Hasan Jee Patel rescued them.

Hassoan produced a fantastic innings of 136 not out to take Mount A towards victory but he ran out of partners as they were dismissed for 170.

Defeat was a setback in Mount's Section A title hopes but they remain top of the table and know victories in their final two matches will see them crowned champions.

Both Mount sides are at Baildon this Saturday (start 1pm), with Mount A travelling for their Section A clash, while Mount B are away to Baildon C in Section C (East) game.
