Siddal coach Greenwood against Bulldogs team-mates in cup tie

Batley have an interesting Carnegie Challenge Cup fourth round draw against Halifax amateurs Siddal on the weekend of April 17 and 18, not least because their opponents are coached by Bulldogs' winger Lee Greenwood.

Batley coach Karl Harrison remarked: "I can't remember anything like this ever happening. But I don't see how we can pick Lee to play in our side, what would happen if he made a mistake?

"We trained on Monday after the draw and the reaction was quite interesting. But we shall have to sit down and discuss the situation, after all it is a bit tricky."

It might be that Greenwood will not even train with the Bulldogs in the lead-up the game.

Siddal, who are third in the Conference Premier Division, won 26-0 at Doncaster in the third round. They were drawn at home and the game could be at The Shay in Halifax.
