Vic hope to bounce back
BIRSTALL Victoria will be aiming to bounce back from their Jim Brown Cup semi-final defeat to Dewsbury Celtic on Saturday when they welcome New Earswick All Blacks to White Lee in the Pennine League Championship (2.30pm).
Like most sporting fixtures in the area last week, Victoria’s game against Westgate Wolves was postponed.
The Vic lie sixth in the table but have games in hand on everyone above them, so can easily rise in their remaining nine matches.
Hanging Heaton will look to stretch their winning run in Division Six to nine matches when they travel to Guiseley Rangers.
Heaton lead the way, a point clear of Sherburn Bears with three games in hand.
Batley Boys welcome Castleford Panthers to Halifax Road in Yorkshire League Division One (2pm).
