Moorlands eased into the Huddersfield League Sykes Cup second round with a 159-run win over Lascelles Hall.

Zamurad struck 73, while J Maxwell crafted 51, as Moorlands posted 242-9, with J Dawson (4-26) pick of the Lascelles Hall bowlers. Hall were dismissed for 83 in reply as Andy Walker claimed 4-3.

It proved a profitable weekend for Moorlands, who recorded a 58-run victory over Rastrick in the Huddersfield League Championship on Saturday.

Mirfield Parish Cavaliers bowed out of the Sykes Cup on Sunday, losing by three wickets to Cawthorne.
