Halifax could be without three key players as they travel to Batley for Sunday’s Championship clash.
Richard Marshall’s side have already seen one hooker Brandon Moore ruled out for eight weeks with a broken hand.
First choice hooker Ben Kaye is now only rated as having a 50-50 chance of facing Batley at Mount Pleasant after damaging his shoulder in last week’s 32-26 opening day defeat by Featherstone.
Centre Ben Heaton had shown impressive form in Fax’s pre-season games but he is also out of the Bulldogs game having suffered a dead leg last week.
Marshall said: “Ben was pretty sore after (last week’s) game and his initial reaction was that he felt he’d be out for a couple of weeks.
“We looked at him at training on Tuesday and within 15 minutes of the physio getting to work on him the joint had loosened up quite a bit.
“He’ll do limited contact on Thursday, and at the moment it’s probably a 50/50 chance at best, but we’ve not ruled him out yet.”
