Acorn Productions will stage a production of popular 80s TV show Hi-de-hi this month in Batley Town Hall, before a production of Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat wings its way to Cleckheaton Town Hall in October.

Each production will raise funds for the theatre group, which gives young people a place to perform.

Cevin Barker, who started Acorn Productions with his wife Sarah, said: “It was like a dream come true seeing both shows in production.

“We started this adventure with no money or backing of any kind but thanks to lots of hard work and support from friends and family we find ourselves not only where we wanted to be but 12 months earlier than we expected to be there!”

Hi-de-hi will be staged at Batley Town Hall, Thursday July 24-Saturday July 26.

Tickets are £12 with concessions available.

Acorn’s production of Joseph is at Cleckheaton’s town hall, Wednesday October 1-Saturday October 4. Tickets are £12.
