NHS England confirmed the deaths in figures released on Thursday, December 10.

One person died in hospital in Barnsley.

Three people died in hospitals in Calderdale and Huddersfield.

Five people died in hospitals in Hull.

Five people died in hospitals in Leeds.

Five people died in hospitals in Wakefield, Dewsbury and Pontefract.

Three people died in hospitals in South Tees.

Three people died in hospitals under the York Teaching Hospitals trust.

The current Covid death toll in Yorkshire hospitals is 5,230.

Patients were aged between 10 and 101 years old.

Date of death ranges from 3 November to 9 December 2020 with the majority being on or after 7 December.

The total number of confirmed reporter deaths in England is 43,537.

NHS England publishes the number of patients who have died in hospital and tested positive for COVID-19 in England.

Since Tuesday, April 28 NHS England and NHS Improvement also reports the number of patient deaths where there has been no COVID-19 positive test result, but where COVID-19 is documented as a direct or underlying cause of death on part 1 or part 2 of the death certification process.
