The students turned out in style for a businessman’s dinner held at the school last Friday. The leavers’ party was the second in the school’s history as, being an all boys school, they do not have a prom.

Acting headteacher Sam Vickers said: “It was a wonderful evening. It was a pleasure to see our young men graduate as tomorrow’s successful men and for them to share in the fond memories of their education at BBEC with fellow students and staff.”

The evening celebrated the pupils’ achievements during their five years at the school, with many being proactive members of the school council and student leadership group.

The night began with a tongue-in-cheek awards ceremony.

After a buffet of Asian food, the students enjoyed performances from rappers Billy and Izrail, singer Lucy Peel and dance group Punjabi Roots Academy.

Ms Vickers said: “We wish all of boys the best of luck in their GCSE exams this summer and invite them all to stay in touch and be part of our Alumni society.”
