Legendary comedy duo Laurel and Hardy are returning to cinema screens next week to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Stan Laurel’s birth.
The pair tickled the funny bones of viewers around the world during the first half of the 20th century with their slapstick sped up routines.
Together, they made more than 100 films, two of which are to be shown at the Showcase Cinema de Lux on Gelderd Road in the next few days.
The Music Box and Block-heads will be screened in succession on Sunday November 14 at 2pm, and Tuesday November 16 at 7.30pm.
Mark Barlow, general manager, UK Theatres at Showcase Cinemas, commented, “The screenings were so popular in the summer, we wanted to further our tribute to the classic comedy duo.”
