But once she realised what was happening she confronted them and the pair fled.

Police believe from speaking to people in the area that they drove off in a blue X-registration Rover.

Det Insp Ian Thornes, of Kirklees CID, said that they may have knocked on other houses in the area and reminded people to ask for ID when answering the door to officials.

The first man was described as white, aged 20-30 with light brown short hair, a slim build and around 6ft, wearing a horizontal-striped grey, pink and blue polo shirt and blue jeans. The second was white, about 55, with blonde, sandy-coloured short hair, a moustache,“chubby, short, chunky cheeks”, a reddish tanned face and 5ft 7in stocky build, wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about these men or the described vehicle should call Kirklees CID on 101 and ask for Ian Thornes.
