BREAKING NEWS: Armed men threaten couple with samurai sword and spade
POLICE are hunting four armed men forced their way into a home and threatened a couple.
The would-be robbers burst into a house in Commonside, Hanging Heaton, at 11.25pm on Wednesday.
They demanded cash from a 31-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman inside the home before threatening them with a samurai sword and a garden spade.
The armed men left empty handed and drove away from the house in a dark coloured vehicle.
The 31-year-old man was taken to Pinderfields Hospital where he was treated for cuts on his arms.
Today, detectives released details of the four men they are hunting.
The first was mixed race or Chinese, around 5ft 5ins tall and of average build. He had dark brown eyes and dark eyebrows and wore dark clothing.
The second and third suspects were in their 20s and of similar height and build. Both spoke with local accents and one wore dark clothing. A fourth man was also involved.
