Cowboy traders!

Traders in Cleckheaton are looking forward to a busy 2013, as they plan to transform the town into a wild west wonderland.

Following the success of the Victorian Christmas market and Christmas festival, the Totally Locally initiative members are riding into the January sales with a set of chaps and spurs!

The Totally Locally Wild West event will take place this Saturday and will involve numerous shopkeepers in the town centre dressed as cowboys, in the latest event to get people from the area to use their town centre.

Matthew Crowther, owner of Matthew’s Coffee Shop, said: “We want people to know that there is no need to head to out of town malls and retail parks for the January sales.”

The group was launched in July last year, and traders in Halifax, Hebden Bridge and Brighouse have also taken up the Totally Locally banner to help bring people back into their town centres.
