Hallways and classrooms throughout the school were covered in pieces of art, which saw the children work with a number of different materials and art styles.

Pupils and their parents were invited to the school’s exhibition to admire their work.

Head of art and design Lucy Swierczynski said: “It is a real confidence boost for the girls to see their work on the walls and they should be very proud.

“The A-level and GCSE pupils have worked extremely hard over the year and the art show celebrates everything they put into it.”

Mrs Swierczynski and headteacher Jackie Eames, pictured, showed Coun Shabir Pandor (Lab, Batley West) some of the artwork.

Inspectors also visited the school to mark the pupils’ work.
