Cyclist in his 80s suffers serious injuries after being hit by car
A cyclist in his 80s suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car this afternoon (Wednesday).
Emergency services were called to Lees Hall Road in Thorhill Lees at around 1.20pm, to reports of a blue Vauxhall Passat hitting a man on his bike.
The cyclist was taken to Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield.
A police spokesman said that the man’s injuries were serious but understood not to be life-threatening, despite his age.
