Ewe two are so lovely!

ewe’D be excused for thinking Spring had sprung on a local farm after the arrival of two cute and cuddly lambs.

The fluffy little babies, which were born at Lane End Farm in Tong this week, are extra special because their mums are Dorset sheep, which can produce offspring at any time of year.

Owner Martin Hare, who has bred sheep for more than 20 years, said the lambs were the first of many.

“We’ve got about 50 to give birth so I’ve been in the barn helping to deliver them all week,” he said.

“We’ve had one with twins and we’re expecting a lot more so it’ll take our total up to about 340 over the next year.”

The lambs will stay inside the warm barn with their mums until they are big and strong enough to go and play in the fields.

Mr Hare added: “If the weather is nice then they can go outside but I don’t like leaving then out. I’m a bit soft with them if it’s cold and wet!

“They can stay inside until after Christmas and hopefully if there is no snow or frost they can go out.”
