Oakwell Hall is offering visitors the chance to find out what it was like to be a nobleperson in the 17th century with a special night-time opening.
Oakwell at Night will allow people to sample Elizabethan England, enjoy a buffet of period delicacies and Shakespearian-themed music from the Leeds Waites.
The event is part of a nationwide celebration of museums and galleries through ‘after hours’ events and is organised by arts charity Culture 24.
Visitors will also be able to take a turn around the rooms of the stunning Elizabethan manor house with a costumed guide.
The event takes place on Friday, May 19 and tickets, priced at £15, must be booked in advance.
Tickets can be purchased at the Visitor Centre, Oakwell Hall Country Park, Nova Lane.
