Glue poured into lock at Old Bank Fisheries

Glue being poured into a business’ door lock was among the latest crimes reported in Mirfield and Hopton.

Police were called out to Flash Lane in Mirfield at 5pm on Tuesday December 2 after a catalytic converter was stolen from a Mercedes Sprinter van.

On the same day, officers were told that another catalytic converter had been taken from a Mercedes Vito in West Royd Avenue at 11pm

On Thursday December 4, somebody caused criminal damage when they knocked down an electric waste control unit.

It is not known what kind of force was used to do this, but the incident in Royd Court took place at around 11am.

On the same day at 1pm, the door of a Vauxhall Vivaro was forced open.

Power tools and a BMX bicycle were taken from the car which was parked at the Ship Inn, Steanard Lane, Mirfield.

Also on Thursday December 4, it was recorded that glue was poured into a door lock at Old Bank Fisheries in Old Bank Road, Mirfield, at around 7pm.
