Huddersfield transformed into French farm
The area has been transformed into a working French farm as part of the county’s welcome for this weekend’s Tour de France Grand Depart.
Opened yesterday, watched by cycling legend and five times Tour de France winner, Bernard Hinault, the farm will be open until Sunday, featuring sheep, chickens, pigs and a cow as well as 1,500 sunflowers, 1,700 lettuces and 700kg of vegetables.

On Friday and Saturday evening, the Arqiva Tower (Emley Moor mast) will be lit up as part of the celebrations and if you tweet @KirkleesEvents with #lightthemast from around 9.30pm-10pm with a colour choice, the lights will change!
