I don’t like driving in my car - Morris Minor kept in garage for 47 years to be sold for up to £10,000

A classic Morris Minor is going under the hammer with just 190 miles on the clock - after not being driven for almost 50 years.

The distinctive brown-coloured vintage motor is in pristine condition after spending all of its life tucked away in a garage.

It cost just £656 back in July 1968, when the Rolling Stones were at the top of the charts with Jumping Jack Flash and a gallon of petrol cost just 30 pence.

And now the Minor is expected to fetch between £7,000 and £10,000.

The owner was worried that the car may have got damaged that it was kept away from the road.

Instead the owner opted to drive around in a Morris Traveller instead.

But the Morris Minor enthusiast, who has not been named, didn’t leave the vehicle to just collect dust, he kept it in pristine condition.

Some 1.3m Minors were manufactured between 1948 and 1972 and it had a top speed of 62mph.

The Morris Minor, which was kept in a garage in Harrogate, will go on sale on Wednesday at CW Harrison auction rooms, in Ossett.
