Ikea sex assault: Police release CCTV image

On January 4 at 8.15pm, a woman was in the loading bay outside Ikea when a man appeared between her and her car door.

He was holding the door to her black Vauxhall Corsa and began to comment on the woman’s legs. He then took photographs of her and touched her legs.

The 52-year old victim sounded the car horn, which alerted other shoppers and made the suspect run off.

The victim was left badly shaken by the incident and with a scratch to her leg.

The suspect was described as being a white man in his fifties, around 5ft 8ins tall and wearing a dark coat and hat.

Detectives now hope the man pictured can help them with their inquiries.
