It’s snapper Harry’s time
BaTLey Camera Club is putting the finishing touches to its annual show, ahead of a preview evening tomorrow.
This year, the exhibition in Batley library and art gallery includes a showcase of the work of long-time member Harry Wentworth. Harry has been in the club for 30 years and has had his work published in books and photographic magazines, including three images printed in The Dalesman. His work has been accepted in many national and international exhibitions.
Harry said: “I have been a keen photographer for many years. When I first started in photography, I concentrated mainly on English landscapes of the Lakes, Yorkshire Dales and Yorkshire’s East Coast but since the introduction of digital methods, I have done more general work and manipulation using Photoshop.
“I recently won a judge’s medal at the Southport National Exhibition and have had about 20 awards and acceptances at other national exhibitions.”
The preview is tomorrow from 7pm to 9pm. The show then runs until June 18.
