Man charged following Dewsbury station knife appeal

A man has been charged in relation to an incident involving a knife at Dewsbury railway station.

Christopher Aubrey, 34, of Ealand Road, Batley was arrested on May 22 in connection with the incident on May 14 following an appeal made by British Transport Police.

He was released on police bail pending further enquiries.

After failing to answer bail, a warrant was issued for Aubrey, who was arrested and charged on July 2 with possession of a bladed article.

He has been bailed to Kirklees Magistrates Court.

A spokeswoman for British Transport Police said: We would like to thank members of the public who came forward with information that led to this arrest.”
