Man hit on head with bottle and assaulted outside Le Choix, Batley

A MAN’S belt was stolen by two attackers who hit him over the head with a glass bottle.

The 54-year-old victim also had his wallet, phone and keys stolen in the incident, and was assaulted before his attackers fled.

The man was walking around the back of Le Choix in Rouse Mill Lane when the attack happened at 10pm on Wednesday, when he was due to meet a friend.

He noticed two men drinking from glass bottles in the area around the time he began to make a call on his mobile phone.

The men hit him on the back of the head with a bottle, before assaulting him.

He was knocked to the floor while his attackers searched him and stole the items. He needed hospital treatment for a serious cut to his eye.

The suspects were white, in their late teens and of medium build. Both were around 5ft 9ins tall and spoke with local accents.

One had shoulder-length hair with a short fringe.
