Pupils from Mirfield Free Grammar and Sixth Form were victorious in the annual Rotary Technology Tournament, winning all three trophies for KS3, KS4 and KS5 – something never achieved by a school in the challenge.
The event was held at the Tetley’s Stadium in Dewsbury.
All students displayed the outstanding qualities required of working in a team to complete the tasks.
Dean Cooper, head of resistant materials, said “We are really proud of our students and what they achieved. They were a credit to themselves and the Academy.
“We would like to thank the Rotary team for providing the students with this fantastic opportunity.”
