New kids’ page - you could win a trip to London!

Welcome to Cub Reporter, the page that’s especially for our young readers. You can join our birthday club and have your name – and picture, if you’d like to send us one – in the paper when it’s your big day, plus we’re bringing you competitions, news, photos and more!

So to kick off our new page, we have a fantastic competition where you could win a family trip to London AND tickets to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster.

We want to find the best young travel writer for a summer what’s on guide produced by Grand Central, the company which runs trains from Mirfield to London every day.

All you have to do is send a 100-word review of your favourite destination along Grand Central’s West Riding route.

It could be the Bronte museum in Haworth or the Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield or somewhere less well known, such as Mirfield Show or the Bagshaw Museum in Wilton Park.

You need to be aged between eight and 12 to enter and have your parents’ permission to do so.

The winning correspondent will travel with their family during the school holidays to London for an overnight stay, and to Doncaster for a day trip to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park for up to two adults and two children.

The winner will then be able to share their experiences by reviewing their trips in the summer e-guide, called www.grandcentralrail.com.

Return rail travel is part of the prize, from any stations along the Grand Central West Riding Line, including Mirfield, Brighouse and Halifax.

For an entry form and full terms and conditions, go to http://www.grandcentralrail.com/special-offers/summer-is-here!/

Reviews should then be submitted along with an entry form by emailing [email protected] using the title header West Riding Travel Correspondent.
