New puppet play on offer this half-term in Kirklees

A fun new play is set to keep youngsters entertained as it tours North Kirklees this October half-term.

Odd Doll Puppet Theatre, together with Creative Scene, will be presenting ‘The Worried Walrus’ over five days at five different venues.

A spokesperson said: “The show promises live music, enchanting puppets, laughs galore and loads of joining-in.

“It’s perfect for your under-8s as they will meet a host of hilarious characters including Terry the Tree Frog, Randy the Panda and Wendy the Walrus.”

The show dates and venues are: Monday, October 24: Northorpe Hall, Mirfield; Tuesday, October 25: The Venue, Birstall; Wednesday, October 26: Batley Bulldogs Rugby Club; Thursday, October 27: Thornhill Sports and Community Centre, Dewsbury; Friday, October 28: Healey Community Centre, Batley.

All performances begin at 2pm.
