Mirfield Lotto winners set to become Saturday night TV stars
The couple, from Mirfield, who scooped £1.2M in 2008, will give an exclusive interview during the ad break of The Voice UK on Saturday 30th January when they will be revealing the amazing impact the windfall has had on their family life.
Susan and Michael discovered they were £1.2M richer while watching Saturday night TV and said they hope that same incredible experience can happen to lots of other people.

If it can happen to us, it can happen to anyone. We just want to say good luck to all National Lottery players this weekend.”
The couple’s lucky winning numbers were actually Susan’s late father’s numbers. Susan explains, “My dad said to me before he died he would always be by my side and I was later told by a psychic that I would be left a pot of gold by my dad.
“On that day, which was the second anniversary of my dad’s passing, he had obviously been looking down on us because every single number came out – 6, 9, 13, 18, 29 and 30 - and I still say to this day our win was heaven sent,” Susan added.
But Susan, who still plays the same numbers on Lotto every week, said she had been so immersed in her knitting on that night that she didn’t pay enough attention to the winning numbers as they were drawn on the television so it was the following morning before the couple checked and discovered their incredible life changing news!

“We are a very close family and it is just wonderful for us all to be able to live together. It’s meant that we can always look after my brother and sisters and make sure they are safe. For us it’s all about being together, being happy and making memories. Looking after my siblings is something Michael and I would never have been able to do without the lottery win.
“I am sure my dad is looking down on us all and I really hope he thinks we are doing a good job of spending our win on the whole family!
“Even now, we wake up with a warm cosy feeling of happiness, not having to worry about anything. We’re happy knowing my family are all happy and taken care of. Seeing a smile on their faces is all that matters.”
