Neil Derrick, GMB regional secretary for Yorkshire and North Derbyshire, said: “The Run for Jo is a fantastic event and such a fitting way to remember Jo Cox and everything that she stood for. Jo was a GMB member and a GMB sponsored MP, and that is something we are very proud of.

"We are so pleased to be the headline sponsor for the fifth year in a row. Although this will be a virtual run, we know that people will still take part on the day with the same enthusiasm and commitment as in any other year.

"The run goes from strength to strength, and I hope this year’s run is a huge success.”

Kim Leadbeater MBE, ambassador for The Jo Cox Foundation, said: “Once again, the Run for Jo 2021 will take place virtually, but we want to build on the success of last year’s event by asking as many people as possible to run or walk to remember Jo and show the power of physical activity to bring people together.”
