Play name game and scoop £250 for your efforts

Housebuilder McCarthy and Stone has announced construction is set to commence at its forthcoming Retirement Living development on Serpentine Road in Cleckheaton.

Ahead of the building programme getting under way, McCarthy and Stone is appealing to local people to enter its What’s in a Name competition and to suggest a name for the new development.

The winning entrant will be granted the opportunity to attend the official opening as well as receiving a cheque for £250.

To be in with a chance of winning the £250 all people have to do is email [email protected] with your suggested development name and the reason behind it.

Entrants must include ‘Cleckheaton’ in the subject header, and also include their name and contact details in the email.

The contest is open to people of all ages and the deadline for entries is Friday 30 April.

Liz Green, regional sales and marketing director for McCarthy and Stone North East, said: “We are inviting people from the local area to name our latest Retirement Living development in Cleckheaton. We are looking for a name which will be relevant to the local community; and it can be anything from suggestions honouring local landmarks or scenery, to names incorporating elements of the town’s rich history.

“Simply submit your ideas by Friday 30 April 2018 to be considered for the prize, and to put your stamp on a little bit of future history in the town.”

McCarthy and Stone’s Cleckheaton development will offer contemporary, independent living, for those looking to enjoy an active and full retirement.

A dedicated house manager will take care of the day-to-day running of the development.
