Det Insp Phil Little, of Protective Services Crime, said: “On June 23 this year West Yorkshire Police issued a court note which stated Darren Dawson, 22, of Upper Barker Street, Liversedge, had been charged with supplying Class A Drugs.

West Yorkshire Police would like to clarify that Darren Dawson was in fact charged with four counts of supplying a Class B drugs. He pleaded guilty to these offences at Leeds Crown Court on July 1 and was sentenced to eight months imprisonment, suspended for 18 months.

“We apologise for any distress caused by the inaccuracy in the original court note.”
