Kind-hearted youngsters from Ravensthorpe Junior School have made a big donation to Batley Food Bank.

Year six pupils and their teachers Miss Nutton, Mrs Wood and Mr Dean visited the charity’s collection centre and helped to stack shelves while learning about the organisation’s work.

They handed food bank staff a total of £95 in food and cash donations. Volunteers said the pupils were a credit to the school and praised their behaviour and willingness to help. The charity is based in the town hall annexe on Brunswick Street.
